My heart has been heavy the past few weeks, with so much to do the illusion of time has disappeared from my life. When life becomes overwhelming, God always shows up with warm embrace that says, everything is going to be alright.
When I received Hope Unfolding by Becky Thompson in the mail box, my heart skipped a beat. After pulling an all nighter of studying, waking up to take care of my sick 4 yr old, and balancing work, to do’s and deadlines I felt like those 2 minutes that I walked outside and checked the mailbox was my escape. I immediately settled the book next to my night stand with the hope that I would begin reading that night. After the dust of the day settled, it was time for bed and as everyone peacefully slept, I opened my new book.
Believe me when I tell you, I couldn’t put it down. I wept. I laughed. I felt like Becky was talking to me, like we had been friends for years. I felt as though in that moment everything was exactly like it needed to be.
We need someone to help tune our hearts to the voice of the Father and to remind us that He has not forgotten about us.”
Hope is alive in this book. It will fill your heart with the promise that everything that is, should be, there is purpose and that no matter what you face, you are not alone.
I am aware that many might think this book is targeted toward mothers, but rest assure, that this book can be used in all aspects of your life. So… you may not have kids, but maybe you have a job, a tedious schedule and a thousand little things to do, welcome to the club, this book is also for you.
***Please note that I received this book from Blogging for Books for this review.
